Transport Minister Amer Al-Marani called on the private sector to exploit the promising investment opportunities in the areas of land transport.
In an expanded meeting of the leadership, cadres and employees of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs today,
the Minister of Transport stressed the need for development and modernization in this vital field,
which is the lifeline and one of the pillars of development.
He pointed to the importance of redoubling efforts and coordinating with the relevant authorities to advance land transportation with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and providing distinguished and competitive services.
While the head of the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs,
Walid Al-Wadayi, gave an explanation about the work progress in the authority, the level of discipline,
the implementation of plans and projects of importance in the areas of land transport and the promising investment opportunities in this sector.
Al-Wadai explained that the authority works with high professionalism in coordination
with the relevant authorities to improve its performance and provide distinguished services that contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens.
He reviewed the projects implemented by the authority within the framework of the national vision,
most notably the strategic project for heavy transport trucks in Hodeidah and the dry ports
in Amanat Al-Asimah and Sana’a governorate aimed at reducing congestion and organizing the collection process in legal and organized ways.
During the meeting, investment opportunities and the Authority's plans for the current year, as well as the difficulties it faces, were reviewed
