A meeting under the chairmanship of Al Junaid to discuss the conditions of the Ministry of Transport and the Land Transport Regulatory Authority.A meeting in Sana'a today chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Services Mahmoud Abdul Qadir Al Junaid discussed the conditions of the Ministry of Transport and the General Authority for the regulation of transport affairs. The meeting, which included Transport Minister Zakaria Al-Shami, Assistant Secretary-General of the Prime Minister Yehia Al-Hadi, Deputy Minister of Electricity and Energy Abdul Ghani Al-Madani and Chairman of the General Authority for Transport Affairs Waleed Al-Wadai, discussed aspects related to the problem of illegal collection of transportation fees by unauthorized parties collection law. At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister for Services stressed the importance of activating the role of the General Authority for Regulating Transport Affairs and improving the transport services within cities and between governorates in coordination between the Authority and the local authorities. He stressed the need for integration and coordination between different parties to solve the problem of interference, especially in the collection of fees on the means of transport in long lines and passenger buses in major cities. The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that this extraordinary stage calls for strengthening communication and resolving the problems that prevailed in the institutional work in the past period and constituted an obstacle to the completion of tasks according to the legal competencies of each ministry or government institution. "The collection of revenues and fees by unauthorized persons is a systematic looting of public funds, and one of the crimes that must speed up legal procedures and refer the perpetrators to the competent authorities." Al-Junaid praised the efforts of the leadership of the Ministry of Transport to activate the performance of the ministry and its affiliated bodies, and adopt the latest regulations in the control of financial and administrative performance. The Minister of Transport welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs to visit the Ministry to review the progress of work and the level of implementation of plans and programs and the difficulties that impede its work in various fields of transport. Shami explained that the Ministry of Transport is working according to programs that have been prepared since the beginning of this year, including development projects aimed at providing the best services in the field of transport. He pointed out that the ministry and its institutions and bodies are facing difficulties imposed by the aggression and its direct target for sea ports, land ports and airports. He pointed out that the most prominent difficulties lie in the overlapping interventions that hinder the work of the General Authority for the regulation of land transport in its field work for light and heavy transport in different governorates and illegal collections by some non-authorized parties, which exploit the situation of the country as a result of the aggression. The head of the General Authority for the Organization of Land Transport Affairs said that the Authority works in accordance with laws and regulations with a view to developing and organizing land transport in various governorates of the Republic. Al Wadai pointed out that the Authority has branches and offices working to facilitate and safety of passengers and the regulation of various types of road transport. He pointed out that some authorities impose fees on the different carriers in an illegal manner, and the Ministry and the Authority have no connection .
